I don't have much to say on the topic of nonprofit technology today.
On Veterans Day, I'd like to say thanks all those who have fought so that we could enjoy freedom, justice, and the right to vote in our country. When I say "we," I mean "even people like me," not just white protestant men of European descent who own property - but women, descendants of slaves and immigrants, and members of minority religions.
These are amenities that aren't taken for granted in every country, and a hundred years ago, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy them either. In every generation, somebody went out there to defend our (imperfect) country and its people, so that we could get closer to the ideal of freedom and justice that we continue to pursue - and I thank those defenders. They include members of the abolitionist, women's suffrage, and civil rights movements - as well as members of the armed forces.
Thank you.
I actually think that my beloved sister, Stephanie Landers, has summed it up much more eloquently than I ever could, so please read her blog article on Veterans' Day in San Jose.
