In 2005, I developed a workshop for grassroots nonprofits about online tools for constituent engagement. I've given it a few times, and have always received positive feedback about the handouts.
This year, my Third Sector New England colleague Arthur Prokosch and I decided to co-present a workshop on "free or cheap web-based organizing and collaboration tools," which was also very well received by the attendees, mostly (in my opinion) because Arthur added a great deal of usable content to the handouts that I had previously developed.
Lately, it seems like a number of colleagues in the wider nonprofit technology community have expressed a need for exactly the sort of information offered in the revised handouts, so I have been passing them along to folks who send out these queries. Their reactions run the gamut from "Wow!" to "This is great!"
My esteemed co-Arthur* has graciously given permission for me post the documents here so that they can be freely downloaded by the community. Kudos and many thanks, Arthur!
* Sorry about that. I couldn't resist.
Of the two Arthurs portrayed in the photograph, Mr. Prokosch is the one on the left. As far as I know, the one on the right is strictly fictional.
