Trish is only one of several colleagues that I longed - in vain - to behold at the Nonprofit Technology Conference.  Attendance has grown from about 200 to about 1,200 since I showed up at the conference's precursor in 2001.  We need to make the large turnout a strength rather than a weakness.  We need to do a much better job of making sure that attendees find each other and have opportunities for substantive conversations...

The NTEN day of service: Don't deny yourself the pleasure of participation

It's possible to be perfectly miserable as a result of doing something that is not only virtuous but extremely useful.  Feeling fulfilled is no guarantee that mission-critical outcomes have been achieved. 

However, I had a great time at this year's NTEN Day of Service, and I want to urge as many people as possible to participate next year, on the grounds that it is so much fun...

Today is April 1st, so I won't attempt to report on the state of nonprofit technology, lest you think I'm perpetrating a hoax.
