Greetings from an undisclosed location!
I'm live blogging as the Third Sector New England's fiscal sponsorship team tests an integration of Microix workflow and MIP fund accounting. We've sequestered ourselves in a windowless room, ordered in breakfast and lunch, and are spending the day running through the life cycles of various transactions.
This is definitely the way to go. It's expensive in person hours to gather an entire team, and run through a substantial chunk of transactions from the end of one fiscal year and the beginning of the next. However, this sort of rigorous testing in Phase I of the implementation, which will help TSNE decide about whether to go ahead with Phase II, is much less expensive than hasty adoption of the wrong applications.
The photos show Bonnie McFarlane, Brenda Burke-Lyons, Claude Kabuya, Cynthia Cadigan, Phil Audier, Thanh Phan, and Wayne Glynn. Dionne Brown, Jennetta Hyatt, Joanne Horgan, and Kay Snowden were there for an earlier testing session, but left before I remembered to bring out the camera.
