The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network has done something really smart:  they've made it fast, easy, and free to start an online affinity group on any topic related to information and communication technology in the nonprofit sector.  The groups are powered by Golightly.

Naturally, it immediately occurred to me to start an online Technobabe group that would be open to women in nonprofit technology in any region of the world.  I'm proud to say that it is one of the larger affinity groups, with 45 members.  We are already talking about having a version of BarCamp for women in our field;  its working name is "BraCamp."
