Online fundraising and ePhilanthropy are long-running topics in the nonprofit technology community. However, for my esteemed colleague and fellow nonprofit techie, Wayne Glynn, it's more personal.
A few months ago, Wayne was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a cancer that affects the bloodstream and bones. Things are looking really good (as you can see from the photo of him with his significant other, DaShawn Bennett) and the treatment is going really well. Wayne is planning to participate in a "Race For A Cure" in Massachusetts, and is going online to raise money for the cause. His fundraising web page is powered by Active Giving.
Disclaimer: As I've previously pointed out, I have a soft spot for any project that raises money for cancer research and treatment. But this is a really worthwhile fundraising event, and I hope that you'll make a donation to help out one of our own.
