On Tuesday evening, while I was attending a fascinating confab at the Boston Foundation, my blog was visited by its 100,000th web surfer since it was launched on 3 January 2005.
This is a somewhat arbitrary landmark, since I receive web traffic
statistics from three sources that never agree. For example,
Blogware informs me that on 27 September 2005, my blog had 1,095
unduplicated visitors (the total number of page views was 1,611). Site Meter clocks in at 132, and Google Adsense
at 235. Naturally, I'm inclined to trust Blogware, because it tells me that I'm averaging about 1,200 unduplicated visitors a day.
At any rate, I'm very grateful to everyone who has read my blog
articles, especially those who have taken the time to post thoughtful
comments. Extra special thanks are due to the guest bloggers, Tim Mills-Groninger and Jonathan Peizer.
