The lovely and persistant Deborah has invited me to share my chapter from the "Nonprofit Internet Strategies" book recently published by Wiley.  While the book is focused on integrating on and off line fundraising strategies, my part takes a more general approach in how to develop job descriptions and motivate/supervise staff who work in jobs that are new to your organization and where you have no idea what they do.

It reminds me of the joke where a guy is talking to his wife: "So I told the guy it was none of his business what I did for a living, and for that, he fired me."

Oh, and the first paragraph should have been italicized.

Enjoy!
