I'm very intrigued by the implications for the nonprofit sector of the new report from the Pew Internet & American Life Project, "Do-it-yourself information online."

Obviously, a future awaits us in which more individual donors and grantmakers go online to find organizations that are engaged in activities that they want to support.  And increasingly, people in search of information and services from nonprofit organizations will want to query databases rather than make phone calls.

Are we going to be ready?
