On Wednesday evening, I attended the Boston meetup of the international Digital Divide Network.
Coming so soon after the "What's Next?" seminar at the Boston Foundation and the RealTalk event, it was an important reminder that lack of access to information and communication technology is a serious local and global problem. Online tools can be used to increase and extend the power of face to face civic activism, but we also have to keep working on ways to foster digital inclusion, so that everyone who wants to use online tools in the civic arena will have that option. more »
