As I have previously mentioned, I'm looking forward very much to next week's Nonprofit Technology Conference in Chicago.

This year, there will be a contingent of Boston Technobabes in attendance, and three of us (plus an Honorary Technobabe based in the San Francisco Bay Area) will be staying together at the conference hotel.

I don't know whether we will devote some leisure time  to giving each other pedicures and discussing hair styles - or to giving each other pedicures and discussing systems integration.  Perhaps a little of both.  At any rate, I do hope that other women who are interested in starting their own local Technobabe groups will come and chat with us.

N.B.:  I hope that it's clear that I don't mean in any way to deprecate or discourage any of my wonderful male colleagues who want to talk shop! I just think that it's important for women in nonprofit technology to reach out and create a strong professional network.
