The Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (N-TEN) has opened registration for the 2005 Nonprofit Technology Conference, which will be held in Chicago, IL this March.
I recommend this conference to both techno-phobes and alpha-geeks!

Hanging Out with the Boston Technobabes

Some time in late 2001, it seemed like a good idea to round up a few local women who worked in various aspects of information technology for the nonprofit sector. We decided to have a very informal dinner together, and jokingly dubbed it "Technobabes' Night Out." Three years later, we have about 35 members, an email distribution list, and monthly get-togethers. more »

I am much amused to find that my blog is now a commodity traded on BlogShares. (BlogShares is a fantasy stock market for weblogs. Players get to invest a fictional $500, and blogs are valued by incoming links.) Thus far, my only investor is Andy Carvin, director of the Digital Divide Network, who holds 2,500 shares. I haven't quite worked out all of the allegorical implications of the Digital Divide movement investing in Technology for the Nonprofit/Philanthropic Sector, but I take this as a favorable development.
